Bugmon progression centers on moving through the game’s 12 islands, leveling efficiently, ranking your Bugmon from E to S, and eventually unlocking prestige at level 300. If you are starting out, the biggest time saver is to keep taking EXP quests whenever they are available.

Leveling efficiently

The most efficient leveling route is to accept EXP quests from the blue screen guy often. Those quests are described as the best way to level up, so they should be your main source of experience alongside the main story.

A practical progression loop is:

  1. Take the main story objective you are working on.
  2. Check for EXP quests from the blue screen guy.
  3. Complete those quests before spending time on lower-value activities.
  4. Keep repeating the loop as you move from island to island.

Because Bugmon has 12 islands in total, quest-driven leveling naturally ties into exploration. You can expect progression to be structured around island advancement rather than a single short route.

Bugmon ranks

Bugmon start at rank E and can be upgraded through six stages, all the way to rank S.

That means rank growth is a long-term progression track, not a one-step upgrade. If you are building a team, it is worth treating rank-ups as a separate goal from leveling.

Prestige

Prestige is locked behind level 300. Only level 300 players can enter the special area used to prestige.

Bugmon is currently in Early Access, and your progress will be saved on official launch.

That matters if you are worried about starting now and losing progress later: the game description explicitly says your current progress carries over when the game officially launches.
